Christmas 2017: Gifts I Want But Probably Will Not Get. The Tech Edition.

For those of us who love to get gifts, every year there are those gifts that got away. Sometimes, they are just out of the budget and other times we really don’t need them. This list includes the over the top presents I would love to unwrap this Christmas. However, I can’t justify why I need them which why I probably won’t be getting.

MacBook Pro, $1,999

Why I Want It: First of all, who wouldn’t want a free MacBook Pro? This laptop is not only beautiful, but it also has everything you need in order to be productive. It has more memory than the MacBook Pro I have now and the 1 TB of storage would be perfect for all of the videos I make. The touch bar sounds like it could be useful. One of the most attractive features is that only weighs 3 pounds. More than anything I would love a lightweight laptop that I could take anywhere and it’s powerful.

Why I Probably Won’t Get It: My laptop works perfectly fine so I can’t justify buying a new one. It will be a daunting task trying to switch all my programs and files to a new computer so I am not looking forward to that at all. Also, it will be a tough decision between the MacBook Pro and the MacBook so I want to do some more research.

Apple Watch Series 3, $699

Why I Want It: The idea of being able to access the world from my wrist not only sounds cool but also seems like incredible convince. Using my FitBit to track my health has made me more mindful of my lifestyle choices. I would love to have that access to all of my apps. Plus when I leave my phone in my purse or another room I can access all the same information.

Why I Probably Won’t Get It: I love watches with circular faces and bracelet traps. I’m hoping one day there is an Apple Watch that looks like a jewelry watch.

Bose SoundLink Micro, $99

Why I Want It: Although the speaker on my iPhone 7 plus is great, it’s not loud enough to fill a room with music. This speaker is not only portable, it’s waterproof and it has a strap on the back to attach it to different things. This Bluetooth speaker looks sleek and well designed. Plus, Bose makes great products.

Why I Probably Won’t Get It: I also like the JBL Flip 4 speaker. I would also like to see if I could hear both speakers before I decide which one I’m going to buy.

Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy New Year! Thank you so much for all your support.
