A Review: Juno

Anyone who has spent an extended amount of time in New York knows that there are certain times where you just have to take a cab. This is why almost every

New Yorker has at least two ridesharing/ride-hailing apps on their phone. The most popular apps are Uber and Lyft. However, the best app is Juno.

What sets Juno apart is their unique philosophy that absolutely works. Their mantra is “Juno treats drivers better, drivers treat you better.” They also charge drivers lower commission rates compared to other companies. I cannot speak on the way the company treats it’s drivers, however, they have the best customer service out of any ridesharing app.

The drivers are courteous, they smell good, and the keep their cars clean. I never had a Juno car that smelled like cigarettes or cheap cologne. The cars come quickly and they don’t cancel on you. The app is easy to use and the process of requesting a ride is very simple.

Another benefit of this app is that the prices are cheaper than other apps. If a ride cost $10 with Uber it will usually be $6 with Juno (in my experience). Over time I ended up saving a lot of money.

Just in case you aren’t sold on better cars and cheaper prices, their customer service is the cherry on the sundae.

After a day of fun, I got home and realized I lost my keys. I went from home to brunch, then brunch to dinner, and then from dinner back home in 3 separate Juno rides. That night I emailed Juno and the next day I had contact numbers for the three drivers who took me on my various trips.

Two drivers had not seen my keys, but the last driver had them. He met with me and gave me my keys. I was not charged any fee and all of the drivers were really gracious. Juno followed up with me and asked how my experience was and if I found my keys.

Now Juno is the main ridesharing app I use and you need to try it.  For more information about Juno click here.
