My Two Cents: The best of CES 2018

Every year CES presents all the latest gadgets, televisions, cars, and so many different new types of technology. This year was no very different. Reading all the different articles and watching the videos about CES is always so exciting and hopefully one day I will be able to attend the show. For now, I'll just give my two cents on the things that I thought were interesting.

Wi-Charge

As much as our devices help us to be productive, they always seem to be dying. Especially cell phones, they can not stand up to all of the streaming, downloading, and web browsing we do for hours at a time. However, now there is a convenient solution to that problem.

Wi-Charge can charge your devices wirelessly using infrared technology that allows for full room wireless charging. This innovative idea helped the company secure the CES 2018 Best of Innovation Award. They also received the first FDA approval for long-range wireless power, after passing tests for safety, range, and power.

Currently, their products are only available for beta testing.

After the latest hack of Intel chips, which affected millions of computers and phones, it is much easier to understand how vulnerable all our devices truly are. Trying to find a way to make our internet of things less susceptible to attack is what we are all searching for.

Dojo by Bullguard is a device that will bring home cybersecurity to the next level. It works by protecting all the connected devices in your home. Specifically focusing on stopping malware, viruses, and other types of popular cyber attacks, Dojo is truly leading the way in home cybersecurity. For $199 you can have the latest technology and peace of mind that all your devices are protected.  I can definitely see myself purchasing this product in the future.

HiMirror

Rarely do tech and beauty connect in a meaningful way. HiMirror is trying to bring a change to that. This smart mirror will analyze your skin and keep track of changes over time. It also allows you to catalog all the beauty products that you are currently using that way you can measure if they are effective or not.

There are 3 different HiMirrors ranging in price from $199 to $299. I'm not really sold on the idea that I need to spend $200 dollars to see if my $20 eye cream is working. Maybe after experenicing this product myself it may change my mind.
