Anyone who shops at Sephora can probably explain to you the basics of their Beauty Insider program and most makeup lovers are beauty insiders. They receive points that eventually can be cashed in for free samples. The highest tier is the VIB Rogue, for those who spend $1000 in a calendar year. The VIB is more realistically attainable by the average person and makes shopping at Sephora ten times better.

What I love the most about being a VIB are the sales. When you reach VIB status for the first time you get 20 percent off and every year after that 10 percent when your status is renewed. In addition to those discounts, you can benefit from sales that are only for VIBs, these sales tend to be 20 percent off.

As a VIB, you will also be notified about new products before they are marketed to the general beauty insiders. This helps me budget my makeup shopping better. I can save in advance when I know something good is coming out.

There are only two drawbacks to Sephora’s VIB program, they don’t give you money off and you have to spend $350 in a calendar year.

One thing you can do to help achieve VIB status is to purchase gifts for friends and family at Sephora. In addition to makeup, Sephora sells fragrance and skincare for men and women. Purchasing these items as gifts will add to your points, every dollar counts! If you are close with another trustworthy makeup lover, consider sharing a card so both of your purchases can count toward getting to the next level.
