How To Apply Blush
When wearing blush you want to achieve the perfect natural looking flush that doesn’t overwhelm the rest of you’re face. Too little blush and you won’t see it, to much blush and you’ll look like clown. For the best results, follow these simple steps.
1) Start with the right tools
The first brush you use when applying powdered blush should be an angled or tapered blush brush. This brush should be used to apply a small amount of pigment to the desired area. Next use a small multi purpose duo fiber brush to blend the color to make it look more natural. For crème or liquid blush, apply it with clean fingers and blend it with a damp disposable sponge.
2 ) Don’t be afraid to try different colors
Mauve and red are not the only blush colors. There are baby pinks, apricots, oranges, hot pinks, and deep reds that all make beautiful blush colors. The secret to making bright colored blush work is using it sparely. Before you purchase a blush try it on your face, not on the back of your hand. Most high-end blushes can be returned if you really don’t like it.
3) Place your blush strategically
Blush should be worn on top of your cheekbone. Press the fleshy part of your cheek and you will feel the beginning of your cheekbone under your eye. Starting from under this place on your face, assess where it is best to place the blush for your face shape. Use the picture above to decide how you should wear your blush. If you don’t know your face shape, try every example and see which one looks best.
