The Best Apps For Finding A Job

Most people use their phones for everything. Contacting friends, finding directions, ordering food, and the list goes on and on. Since you already use your phone for everything else on your phone, let's use it to find a job.

I am always looking for freelance writing opportunities and I have personally used all these apps to find jobs. These 4 applications are easy to use and will help you find a job.

LinkedIn Jobs

This application is perfect for looking for jobs because recruiters and hiring managers actually check it. One click applications make it so simple to apply for jobs.

When your application is viewed, you get a notification. There are literally hundreds of job postings that are active and are legit. I've run into very few job scams on LinkedIn Jobs. In order to use this platform, you must first create a LinkedIn account.

LinkedIn

Unlike the LinkedIn Jobs, the LinkedIn application is for networking and sharing information. This application will be helpful during your job search because it will help you to build your network.

If you applied to jobs through the LinkedIn Jobs application, it can show you the people in your network that work for the company.  This is also the easiest way to access the networking platform on your phone.

Angel.co

This is the best job search applications hands down. The only drawback is that most of the jobs are from startup companies. I am interested in startup companies so for me this is a perfect fit. Applying to jobs is so easy and there are a variety of jobs. I've made so many connections through this application and I use it at least three times a week. A lot of the jobs are developer positions, however, they also have marketing, operations, and sales jobs.

Merlin

This application is not the best for finding a substantial job. They have a lot of hourly positions. Waitress, painter, and receptionist are some of the most popular jobs that show up in my feed.

The application is pretty good, however, most of the jobs do not offer benefits. I would recommend this application to someone who is looking for part-time/freelance work. Merlin is the only application where I haven't heard anything back from a hiring manager, so I use it less than the other applications.
