How To Take Care Of Your Conrows
For my recent vacation I decided to get cornrows. Not only are they a cute protective style, but also they are great for swimming. I chose to go with feed in braids because I saw them all over Instagram and Pinterest. There are six large braids and four small braids. I used Shake-N- Go Hair's Que Jumbo Braid Hair. I needed six packs for this style.
So how do you take care them? First off, you have to keep them covered when your sleep. Although it may seem like your hair is safe inside, it can still be damaged. Wearing a bonnet is imperative because it will keep the moisture in your hair.
I keep my hair moist with hair creme and oils. I use a process similar to the L.O.C method, except without leave-in conditioner. Before you go to bed rub your hair creme of choice on the braids. Next, put a small amount of oil on your scalp between the braids. Then cover your hair and enjoy some restful sleep.
Also, consider using Organic Root Stimulator's temple balm to help your edges to grow while in this style. Try not to apply to much edge control gel because it will dry out your baby hairs and cause breakage. After 3 to 4 weeks remove the cornrows and wash your hair thoroughly.
