A Review: Pure wavy hair by Indique
My new weave ideology of buying cheap hair to save money didn’t quite work out the way I had hoped. Instead of the hair lasting for 6 months to a year, it lasted 2 and a half months. Dyhair777 was very disappointing but you can read more about that in my review. I’ve decided, maybe you do get what you pay for and I should stop being so cheap.
So, I continued my never ending quest for trying to find some good weave. “Good weave” meaning minimal shedding, no tangling, and can hold a curl for at least a week. After watching dozens of videos, I stumbled upon a lot of Indique reviews for their SEA collection. Everyone seemed to love the hair with no complaints. I looked into the closes store location, since I wanted to see the hair in real life, and I found out they had a location in Soho.
At the Soho location the sales woman was nice and every pushy. She smiled and answered my questions. After I told her I wanted the SEA wavy hair to wear wand curled she quickly explained why that hair wouldn’t work for my needs. She said the SEA hair was steamed processed and if I kept wand curling the hair, it would not last. Her recommendation was that I needed hair from the Pure collection.
Of course the Pure collection is the most expensive, this is because this collection is the only collection they sell where the hair is natural and not processed. It’s also their flagship collection and is the most expensive hair they offer. To view the Pure collection page, click here.
The shopping process at the store was very enjoyable, besides being upsold to spend more money, but that’s partially my fault. She let me take out dozens of bundles and compare and touch the hair. The waviest bundles they had were 14 inch so I purchased 3 of them. Once I felt that hair, it was abundantly clear to me that all the hair I have worn before had been chemically processed. The hair felt coarse and thick. It was shiny, healthy looking, and had a lot of body. No dead looking ends and there were very few gray strands.
Below are some pictures of the hair in the package and after I co-washed it. I will also attach some photos of my U-part wig.
