A Review: Dhair Boutique SEA (Southeast Asian) hair

I am always looking for new hair. I just wanted some good quality hair that would hold a barrel curl. This hair is not it. This hair isn’t all bad however; it is definitely not worth the money.

I purchased this hair in August and I ordered a 18 inch, 18 inch, 20 inch, and a 22 inch.  I paid over $600 (bought it on sale) for the hair so I was expecting the best. Although the hair is not what I expected it wasn’t all bad. The hair smelled great before I washed it and it was very soft. The hair was thick to the ends and there were very few gray hairs. The hair seemed great so far.

The thick wefts made creating my u-part wig a little more difficult, but it wasn’t too bad.  Once I tried to style my wig I quickly realized this hair was not what I wanted. At first I tried to barrel curl the hair and it would not hold a curl. I used different types of curling irons and hair sprays and nothing could help this hair.

Next, I tried curling the hair with a curling wand. The wand curls only lasted for about 3 days and for the rest of that week I had really loose waves. When I straightened the hair it was even worst. There are so many broken of hairs that would stand on end as soon as I flat ironed a piece.

In addition to not being able to hold a curl, this hair is extremely frizzy. There is nothing you can do about the frizz. I tried oils, crèmes, and gels and nothing would help get the frizz under control. The entire time I was wearing the hair it was either frizzy or greasy.

I would recommend that you don’t buy this hair. Although it is supposed to be the same hair that Angela Simmons wears, this hair is not high quality. I’m not going to write off the brand Dhair Boutique just yet because I still want to try their Cambodian slight wave hair.
