How To Fix A Bad Weave

Once you buy weave, it’s yours. Usually there is a no refund policy or you only have 7 days to exchange it. At first the hair is soft and tangle-free but after a couple of weeks, it’s dry and hard to manage. Want to save the hair you already paid for? Follow these easy steps.

Wash with a sulfate and paraben free shampoo

Just like real hair, weave needs moisture. Stripping shampoos will make the hair dry and make it tangle more easily. Using a shampoo with less chemicals will help the hair to be less dry. My favorite is Herbal Essence Naked Moisturizing shampoo.

Deep condition the hair every week

This step is a big time commitment, however is the only way to make dry crispy weave look decent. While the hair is wet, slather it with deep conditioner. If the hair is out of your head, leave it in the deep conditioner overnight. If the hair is sewn in your head, leave it for at least 2 hours. The best deep conditioner to use is Silicon Mix. I suggest this conditioner because it is affordable and it has always made my worst looking weaves look brand new.

Trim the ends

Freshly trimmed ends will make your weave look healthier. No one wants to lose precious length, but trimming human hair weaves is a necessary evil. Flat iron the hair and cut the ends. You may want to have a professional do it if your hair is really that jacked up.

Write a bad review about the company

No company should give you a bad product and get away with it. Write a tweet, make a blog, or create a YouTube video to complain to the world about this crappy hair. After they see your post, the company may offer to give you your money back. Also, you can prevent your family and friends from making a bad investment.
