My Favorite Skincare Products Right Now (February 2024)

I am still on my skincare kick. Although I am wearing more makeup then I have in a while, I am prioritizing taking care of my skin. These are the products that are helping my skin be it’s best.

1) Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex Serum, $125

This serum has a cult following and I totally understand why. My skin is combination oily, sensitive, and acne-prone. This product helps with dryness, oiliness, and discoloration. Baby soft skin that looks super hydrated is what you will get once you use this product. The price is expensive and I have not found a drugstore dupe yet. To me, it’s worth every penny because of how wonderful my skin looks after using it. I only use it at night but it can be used in the morning also. 2) Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One AHA Lactic Acid Treatment, $122

I so badly didn’t want this product to work. I knew this would be an expensive habit to start. Everyone on YouTube and Instagram raved about this being the best product for their skin ever. I am now hooked and I don’t know how I will go back. My skin was rough in the areas of my face where I was oily. My nose felt hard. When I used this product for 2 months my face was the best it’s ever been. Less discoloration, less oil, less dryness, and less acne. I was using a physical exfoliate before but adding a chemical exfoliant was a game changer.

3) Naturium Marshmallow Root Barrier Balm, $25

I wanted a moisturizer that could be used for day and night. As much as I love skincare I am not doing a 15-step skincare routine. I was using a high-end moisturizer but it wasn’t game-changing. I am loving this moisturizer and it is half the price of what I was using before. My skin feels soft and strong. It smells weird but it works.

4) The Ordinary, Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner, $13

This stuff destroyed my underarms and it did not work as deodorant. It does however work as a facial toner for me. I can’t use it every day but 3 times a week I use it for extra exfoliation. It’s cheap and has very high-quality ingredients. The Ordinary in general is a great brand.

5) Leaf Shave, Dermaplaner Kit, $64

Vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz, can be secretly spoiling your skincare and makeup dreams. Once I started dermaplanning my skin, it was brand new and so smooth. Not only does it remove hair, but it also removes dead skin cells. Dermaplanning can be done even if you have acne-prone skin. If you haven’t tried it, I would 100% recommend it.

6) Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Gentle Daily Facial Toner, $8

If you need a reliable daily toner this is my favorite drugstore toner. It’s no frills and it works every time. Over the years the price has creeped up but it’s still my favorite. It’s not drying and it helps to control oil.

7) Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment, $40

If I’m honest, I think sleeping masks maybe a scam. However, I love this product. When I wash it off in my face in the morning my skin it glowing. It gives me the “glass skin” look without a whole bunch of extra steps.
