Makeup Wishlist Summer ‘16

Happy Summer! I am extremely excited for it to finally be summer time. Like at the beginning of every season, I am plotting what do I need in my stash and what can I try that I haven’t before. Some of these skincare, makeup, and hair products are tried and true, while others I’ve never used. Take a look at what will be in my Sephora/Ulta shopping cart very soon.

Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist, $28

As I get older, I’m trying to make sure I take better care of my skin. Adding SPF to my skincare routine is very important to protect my skin from excessive sun damage. This product is amazing and so easy to use. After I apply my makeup I just lightly spray my face and neck. It dries very quickly and dries matte. Unlike other sunscreen sprays, this product doesn’t cause any irritation to my skin. Besides working wonderfully, it also smells amazing.

Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35, $46

After all this time, I still have never purchased a BB Cream. I’ve tried samples of different BB creams but I never actually bought one. After trying a tester of Bobbi Brown’s BB Cream I’ve decided this is the one I want. What makes me interested in this product is that I love Bobbi Brown’s tinted moisturizer and cream stick foundation. In general, I think Bobbi Brown makes great foundation and skincare products. The shade I will most likely get is Dark.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid lipsticks, $20

Go to Sephora.com right now and by one of these liquid lipsticks. This product totally changed my view of matte lipsticks, dry skin, and the Kat Von D brand. Since I have dry lips, I usually stay away from matte lipsticks. These everlasting liquid lipsticks are not overly drying, the color is very opaque, and they last for at least 6 hours. There are shades suitable for every skin tone. The next shades I will purchase are bow and arrow, a go-go, mother, and bauhau5.

Benefit Browzings, $32

Every morning when I fill my brows I use Benefit Browzings. Now that there is going to be a new and improved version, I’m going to try it when the one I’m using now runs out. My face sweats a lot, so I need brow products that will really last. I’m excited to try one of the new shades.

Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron, $50

For the last year I’ve basically only been wearing my hair in wand curls. Wand curls are so easy and they don’t take that much time. My favorite hairstyle to wear in the summer is loose barrel curls. Barrel curls are my favorite kind of curl but my Revlon curling iron doesn’t get hot enough to make the girls last for more than a day or two. I have a marcel Hot Tools curling iron but I haven’t mastered how to use it. Hopefully, the gold curling iron will get hot fast and will create curls that will last.
