A Review: NARS Audacious Lipstick

Lipstick is the best kind of makeup. If you’re in a rush you can apply it quickly from the tube or you can meticulously paint it on. It comes in every color for every skin tone. You can dress it up or dress it down, two-tone, ombre, and list goes on and on. Many companies make good enough lipstick, you put it on and in 3 to 4 hours reapply. There are some lipsticks that are specifically supposed to be long lasting. Not only do they not last, but they also dry out lips and exacerbate lip lines. NARS Audacious lipstick doesn’t fall into any of the above categories.

I purchased this lipstick from Sephora and they were $32 each. Initially I thought, nope not going to happen. After I began swatching the lipsticks I instantly changed my mind. The color pay was remarkable it was so opaque and vivid. The second thing I noticed about this lipstick was the texture. It easily glided across the back of my hand and on my lips. I recommend this lipstick for everyone, but especially if you have dry lips. This creamy lipstick doesn’t settle in the lines of your lips and is never drying.

The package is sleek, beautiful, and heavy in good way. The metal packaging is a thousand times better than the plastic most lipsticks come in. The cap magnetically closes and makes it feel very secure. There are 30 shades and they are available everywhere NARS products are sold.

Annabelle, Deborah, and Barbara are the first 3 shades I purchased and I need to get more. Barbara is not that WOC (Women of Color) friendly and I wish I would have returned it. Deborah and Annabelle are absolutely gorgeous. They are two of my top 10 lipsticks and they usually live in my purse.
