My experience: Inglot Cosmetics – Times Square
Last weekend I visited the Inglot Cosmetics store for the second time. I wanted another experience at the store before I blogged about it. The first time I visited the store was Winter 2013. From then to now, a lot has changed. The first time I visited I purchased a freedom palette with 5 eyeshadows. On my recent visit I purchased two lipsticks (270 and 290), an eyebrow pencil, and mascara.
On my first visit the sales associates were so helpful. She explained everything to me and she help me test everything I wanted. On my second visit, the shopping experience is very lack luster. The staff ignored my cousin and I until I showed them my $50 gift card. After that they barley hurt themselves to even talk about the products.
In terms of the products, they are good quality but over priced. The products are barely professional quality. The products remind me of Revlon, but the prices are MAC. The eyeshadows have so much fallout. They make a mess on your face and in the palette. My experience so far has been that all their products are bad dupes for other products. The lipsticks are my favorite Inglot products however, I’m sure if I will purchase anymore.
I think all cosmetic stores should encourage customers to play around with their samples, so that way they can fall in love with their products. Sales associates need training on how to help customers get a hands-on experience. Lazy customer service and mediocre products means I will probably not be returning to Inglot.
