The biggest nail trend for this and going into fall are nude nails. Shades of pink and tan that are suppose to create a natural looking affect. There are two different ways to achieve nude nails: polish and acrylic.

Nude polishes are the easiest way to get the nude nail trend. OPI, Essie, and Zoya make some long lasting nude nail polishes in the latest colors. The hardest part about selecting nude polish is finding one that suites your skin tone. Shades like (insert polish colors and companies here) suit darker skin tones and look less ashy.

The benefit to your polish is that you can always change it until you find your perfect nude. Gel polish also comes in nude shades and will last for at least two weeks.

Another way to achieve is the nude nail look is with acrylic. Colored acrylics come in pinks and beige shades that also mimic natural hair colors. The most popular form of nude acrylic is Permanent French. Now instead of adding a white powder for the tip, they just use the pink acrylic through out the nail.

Unlike nude polish, acrylic is permanently one color. However, you can paint over it for a different look. Since nude acrylic is a newer nail trend, it maybe hard to find a salon that does it. Search your city and #nudenails or #nopolish on Instagram for your local stylist who knows how to do it.
