First Impressions: NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation and Lancomé Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hour Foundation
Buying a quality foundation is probably the most important investment you can make in terms of makeup. Foundations can cause you to break out, look shiny, or make your skin look wrinkly if you get the wrong one. This is why people who like make up are always trying different foundations. Two foundations I recently purchased are NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation and Lancomé Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hour Foundation.
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is the newest foundation from NARS. This is my first foundation I have purchased from them and I am very impressed. This foundation is supposed to make your skin look illuminated and all you need is one pump to cover your entire face. I purchased this product from Sephora for $48. There are 20 different shades and my shade is New Guinea.
This foundation is creamy, but not too thick. I apply it with my fingers and then blend it out with a damp sponge. It takes me 3 pumps to get medium coverage on my face and neck. I can definitely picture myself using this product for everyday makeup looks. It looks pretty on combination skin, even on my oily T-zone.
Lancomé Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hour Foundation has been on my wish list for years. After seeing how beautiful this foundation looked on dozens of African-American YouTube beauty gurus, I finally got it. My shade is 500 Suède (W) and it cost $45.50. This foundation comes in 30 shades, including neutral, cool, and warm tones.
After trying this foundation one time I instantly feel in love with it. Even if you apply a lot of this product it won’t give you a “cake face” look. The match is almost perfect for my skin tone. The only thing I don’t like about Lancomé Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hour Foundation is that it transfers easily to other people and your clothing.
