Happy National Lipstick Day! Featuring a Lime Crime Makeup
Lipsticks are my favorite makeup category and I think they are the only article of makeup you need to brighten your day. In honor of National Lipstick Day I wanted to feature my new favorite lipsticks from Lime Crime. The shades I have are Geradium, Cosmopop, Airborne Unicorn, Mint To Be, and New Yolk City.
What makes the entire collection of Lime Crime lipsticks superb is that they are creamy and very opaque. Although they stain your lips, these lipsticks won’t budge and last 5 to 6 hours easily. They don’t exaggerate lip lines and they’re very moisturizing.
Geradium is my favorite shade. It is described as a coral pink on limecrime.com and it looks beautiful on any skin tone. If you don’t have time to apply a full face of makeup, this lipstick will instantly make you look dolled up.
Cosmopop is my second favorite shade and is described as a soft orange. This shade will make your skin look more tan than usual. I prefer to wear this lipstick with only eyeliner or a brown smoky eye.
Airborne Unicorn is a great purple lipstick and will be a favorite for those who like MAC’s Up the Amp. This shade of purple is blue based and is similar to the color of the lipstick’s packaging.
Mint To Be is definitely an attention grabber. The only negative about this shade is that it can make your teeth appear more yellow then they really are. This color is very unique and even though it is pale, it is very vivid.
New Yolk City is a bright yellow that will make your teeth look sparkly white. After seeing Jennifer Lopez wearing yellow lipstick, I wanted to try it out. This yellow is described as a banana yellow and it won’t dry your lips out unlike other yellow lipsticks. If you want to experiment with a unique color try New Yolk City first.
