Makeup Wish List: Fall 2014

Here are the products that have caught my eye this month:

Lorac Mega Pro Palette

This palette launched on October 7th and now I can’t seem to find it anywhere. This palette has 32 shades and they all look unique. I love the original Lorac Pro Palette so I need to find this palette. The palette was on sale thru Amazon and Lorac’s website but now I can’t find it anywhere. I’m not giving up the search; hopefully Ulta will begin to sell it for the holiday season.

Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation, Sephora $60

Yes, you read that right $60. I usually don’t buy foundations that cost more than $40, but I really want this one. One of my favorite foundations is Yves Saint Laurent’s Le Teint Touche Éclat. I have very sensitive skin and Yves Saint Laurent products haven’t caused me to have a reaction, so for me they are worth the money. What makes the Fusion Ink foundation special is that it is a light-weight foundation with high-coverage. Giorgio Armani was the first brand to come up with this concept, but I was afraid their version would cause me to have breakouts.

Bite Beauty Lip Lab, $36-$48

Lipstick is my favorite kind of makeup to wear and buy, so it only makes sense that I get my own custom lipstick. Bite Beauty makes great lip products that I usually purchase at Sephora. However, in New York City Bite Beauty has a lip lab where they can make a customized shade just for you. Matte, crème, and sheer formulas cost $36 each and deluxe (contains silk, pearl, and champagne) cost $48. They also have 7 different flavors and for $6 extra you can add glitter/shimmer.

Sephora Favorites LashStash, $45

In the last 3 years of me being obsessed with makeup, I still don’t have a favorite high-end mascara. After shelling out $20 here and $30 there, they all just seem to be just okay. The mascara set LashStash contains 10 different kinds of mascara and waterproof makeup remover. Some of the brands included in this kit are Smashbox, Yves Saint Laurent, Urban Decay, and Benefit. After trying this set I’m sure I will find my new favorite mascara.

MAC Prep+Prime Skin, $30

I haven’t had a good experiences with primers in the past. Too Faced primed and poreless gave me an allergic reaction, Smashbox didn’t work on the oily parts of my face, and Makeup Forever HD primer didn’t work on the dry parts of my face. The first primer I ever tried was MAC Prep + Prime, when I had my makeup done at the MAC store when I bought my first high-end foundation. It didn’t break me out and it made my skin feel moist. I’m going to try it and see if it makes my makeup last longer.
