At Sephora there are literally hundreds of products, so it can be very challenging to choose what to buy. Some brands are popular on social media or have celebrity endorsements, which automatically makes them a fan favorite. Although those brands may have great products, many incredible brands fly under the radar. Below are five awe-inspiring brands that you may have over looked.

Buxom

Buxom is a fun and flirty makeup brand that often is pushed in a small little corner in your local Sephora. What the display lacks in size, it makes up for in solid products. For example, the best mascara of all time is their Lash Mascara. At only $20 it is better than Dior, YSL, and any other high end mascara ever. It applies smooth and never becomes crunchy. More importantly, it gives your lashes volume and length at the same time without any clumping.

Some of my other favorite products from Buxom are their lip polishes and lip creams. They are creamy and they don’t settle into lip lines. They come in a variety of colors from pale pink to deep red. The best way to try their lip products is by trying one of the holiday gift sets they release. Not only do they offer a great selection, but also they are more affordable this way.

Philosophy

In general having great skin is undervalued in the beauty community. However, great skin is the only way to have the best makeup. One of the most effective skincare brands at Sephora is Philosophy. If you watched any of my previous skincare videos you have probably already seen some of my favorite products from the brand. I have very sensitive skin so I can only use certain products. As a brand, Philosophy is effective and gentle, that’s why it is my favorite.

The first thing you need to try from this brand is their Purity Made Simple cleanser. This one product will cleanse your skin, remove your makeup, and get rid of excess oil. The Purity Made Simple formula also has wipes that are perfect for on the go.

Philosophy also makes great moisturizers and other skin treatments. They have products for dehydrated, acne prone, and sensitive skin. They have a product for every skin need. They probably have something you need, check them out.

Lancome

Since there are so many wonderful makeup companies, it’s hard for them all to get their shine. Lancome is one of those brands. Although they did have a moment back in 2016 however, they still have so many amazing products. My favorite foundation is Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hour Long Wear foundation. It comes in 40 shades and works well with every skin type. For those you who don’t have smooth skin, this foundation is the Holy Grail because it doesn’t settle into lines or creases. Also, it can cover bumps and acne without making your makeup look “cakey”.

Another awesome product from Lancome is the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Concealer. The 16 different shades go with all skin tones. Their consistency is excellent for highlighting and contouring. The color is so opaque it will cover all dark circles under your eyes and any purple color.

Lancome also makes some high-quality mascaras, so they have a lot of products for you to try.

Bobbi Brown

A lot of people have written off Bobbi Brown as “old lady” makeup. However, it is actually one of the best makeup collections featured at Sephora. Unlike other brands, Bobbi Brown’s makeup is natural looking and is great for sensitive skin. No matter how much of their foundation I put on I always get compliments on my skin, not my makeup. Although this brand does have a cult following, in my opinion it is still underrated.

Bobbi Brown has the most famous stick foundation in creation. It comes in 30 shades and is popular because it works for all skin types. Whether you have oily, combination or dry skin, it will make your skin look flawless. Even in hot weather, this cream foundation stays put and last all day.

Another great product they make is gel eyeliner. It is so black and once it dries it stays all day. If you have sensitive eyes or you wear contacts this will be your new favorite eyeliner.

Guerlain

Guerlain is probably one of the most expensive brands offered at Sephora, which is probably why you don’t see people discussing them that much online. Although I haven’t tried many of their products, they make one of my top five best products that is a must have for me. That product is their Terracotta Bronzing Powder in shade #7.

Most makeup companies don’t make bronzer deep enough for women who have deep or dark skin tones. This is one of the few bronzers I can use to contour. At $53 it cost more than any other bronzer I’ve ever seen. However, I’ve had the same one for two years and it’s still 40 percent full with product. In the future, I will try more of their products and you should give them a second look too.
