Makeup Must Haves for Summer 2015
After a brief hiatus, I’m back. There are so many different products I want to try this summer but I have to pace myself. Any product I purchase for this summer has to be able to take the heat and be versatile enough for me to wear it all year long. I will also being doing a separate summer wish list for skincare and fashion.
AJ Crimson Sultry and Matte Lipsticks, $18.50
These lipsticks are immensely popular on Instagram and I need to get my hands on them. Subculture, Bondage, and Pillow Talk are the first shades I’m going to purchase. The packaging for this lipstick looks sleek and very high-end, which caught my attention when I first saw it. Currently there are 8 shades.
On hot summer days, blush is usually the first makeup product to disappear on my face. Cream blushes do last longer but the drugstore versions are hard to blend. NARS Multiples are cream sticks that can be used on your eyes, lips, cheeks, and body. The shades I am most interested in are Maui, Rivera, and Portofino.
I must admit, I’ve tried all of the “imposter” beauty blenders available at Target and Ulta. Those sponges work just fine, however I am still curious about the real deal. I haven’t tried it yet because I was waiting for the black ones to be sold in stores. The next Sephora purchase I make online I’m going to get one.
This kit is my dream set of brushes. Realistically, I will probably buy more affordable kits over time until I get all the brushes I want. I already own the basic eye kit and those are the only eye brushes I am constantly reaching everyday. I also love their small contour brush, so I will be getting more Sigma brushes.
Lime Crime makeup is bright and opague, which is why every summer I’m rushing to stock up on their latest releases. I tried the velvetine in the shade Pink Velvet. It was very drying and constantly made my lips peel. I’m going to give them another chance because I think my have just been that shade. I want the Velvetines in the shades Shroom, Riot, and Bleached.
