IMATS Haul! Featuring Lime Crime, Sigma Beauty, and Sugarpill Cosmetics
Yesterday was the last day of the infamous IMATS New York. The International Makeup Artist Trade Show is full of vendors, makeup educator, and YouTube beauty gurus. Besides New York, the show is also held in London, Vancouver, Sydney, Toronto, and Los Angeles. In New York, the event was held at Pier 54 and some of the brands in attendance were Stila, Makeup Forever, Dermalogica and many more.
The first purchase I made was the Sugarpill Pro palette by Sugarpill cosmetics. This palette is a combination of their three heart pressed palettes: Sweetheart, Burning Heart, and Heartbreaker. These shadows are so pigmented one swatch will get you hooked. IMATS was the first place you could purchase this palette and it cost $85. The price is a deal because each heart palette cost $34, making this palette a $102 value.
My second purchase of the day was at Sigma Beauty. I needed some more eyeshadow brushes, especially for blending. The individual brushes were 30 percent off and the brush packages were also on sale. My first pick was the perfect blend eyeshadow brush kit, and then I got a small contour brush (F05) and pencil brush (E30). After the IMATS discount the individual brushes came up to $8.40 each and the Perfect Blend kit cost $44 instead of the usual $63. I also received two free travel sized brushes and a brush cleaning tool for waiting in line.
I waited in line for over 2 hours for my last purchase. I’ve heard so many great things on YouTube about Lime Crime lipsticks and velvetines that I had to see what all the hype was about. The shades I purchased are Mint to Be, New Yolk City, Geradium, Airborne Unicorn, and Cosmopop. I also purchased a velvetine, which is like a liquid lipstick in the shade pink velvet. The lipsticks were $14.40 instead of $18 and the velvetine was regular price, $20.
All the products I purchased will be reviewed in future blog post. Stay tuned!
